One other thing I might add. A long title is not necessarily a bad thing. Google shows 65 characters in the title. But it indexes 1,129 characters. So if you make judicious use of spaces so that your title story makes sense and does not cut off you can then use the remaining 1000 or so characters to include the search terms you are trying to optimize for. Since Google indexes anything up to 1,129, that gives you ample room to do what you need to without it being seen by the public. This is not black hat by the way. According to Google it was designed this way so you could give Google better and more pointed information about your site. Great article. One other thing I might add.
